How the Liquidation Price is Calculated

The underlying script utilizes the standard crypto liquidation price formula. In isolated margin setups,
liquidation occurs when your position’s loss equals your allocated margin. For long positions, the market drops toward this point;
for short positions, the asset rises. The calculation factors in a standard Maintenance Margin Rate (MMR), which is typically
around 0.5% to 1% for major contracts like Bitcoin, reflecting the minimum capital required to keep a contract active.

Instructions

  1. Select Position Direction: Choose Long if you profit when prices go up, or Short if you profit when prices go down.
  2. Choose Margin Mode: Select Isolated Margin (risk limited to the assigned position margin) or Cross Margin (entire account balance acts as collateral).
  3. Enter Details: Fill in your current Account Balance, your entry point, and the Leverage multiplier (from 1x up to 125x).
  4. Calculate: Review the generated critical price level. Ensure your stop-loss order is placed well before the market approaches this zone.
